A Busy Autumn Term at CCJS

The Mini Vinnies at Cheadle Catholic Junior School have been particularly busy in the last few weeks. Recently we held the Commissioning Assembly for this year and we were delighted to commission 21 Year 5 and Year 6 pupils this year to our very successful group. The ceremony was held as part of an Upper School Assembly, which meant that for the first time we could invite parents of the children involved to be present and we were delighted with how many were able to join us.

Saint Mary's Congleton Fun Fundraising

The Mini Vinnies at Saint Marys in Congleton raised £26.55 for CAFOD through the ‘name the teddy’ and ‘guess the number of sweets in a jar’ competitions. The group organised and prepared the two games and then ran these throughout the school. The children really enjoyed leading the fundraising and involving the whole school. The government have promised to double any money raised as part of the CAFOD Lent appeal, which is fantastic news.
