St Joseph’s is a

‘Mini Vinnies’

Here are the Mini Vinnies in one of our fortnightly meetings, with their special Pledge which we always read out together.

We went to sing at a local care home

The Mini Vinnies visited Broadway Halls care home to sing to the residents.

Before they went they decorated fairy cakes to take with them and also took bunches of daffodils to hand out. It was a very special afternoon for everybody.

We delivered the CAFOD envelopes to each class.

The Mini Vinnies handed out the envelopes for our CAFOD Fast Day in Lent this year.

CAFOD helps us to give money to those less fortunate than us and we all give what we can. Every penny makes a difference!

Here are Chloe and  Rutendo delivering  the envelopes wearing  their Special

MiniVinnies badges!

We became ‘Dementia Friends!’

We had a special visitor come in called Julie who was from the Alzheimer’s society. At the care home we visited, some of the residents had dementia. Julie talked to us all about dementia and how it can affect somebody’s life. We enjoyed learning more about dementia and we became ‘Dementia Friends’. Julie gave us some ‘Dementia Friends’ badges which we will wear proudly.

Here are some of the Mini Vinnie’s promises they made after the Dementia Friends training.

Well Done St Joseph's Mini Vinnies.  We are proud of you!
